Windermere House

We celebrated our wedding of 100 guests at Windermere House this past December and were absolutely blown away. From a welcome dinner Friday night in the pub to breakfast Sunday morning, everything was absolutely perfect. Morgan, Chef Aaron and the entire team are absolutely incredible. Our guests were astonished by the atmosphere, the amenities and the food. Pastry Chef Emily even made our gorgeous custom wedding cake that guests continue to rave about! We could not have asked for a better or more memorable place to say I do!

We stayed here for our anniversary in October 2025 and had an excellent time. Every single staff member was helpful and kind. The activities included were plentiful (we did pickleball, tennis, biking, SUPing, kayaking, shuffleboard, hot tub, and didn’t even get to several others). The food was superb - we loved our tavern fare in the evening and the included breakfast in the morning was top notch for buffet style. As for location - while far from where we live, we appreciated the fact it was secluded and felt like our own little retreat! I’d recommend to anyone looking for a quality place to stay.

We visited only for a night, when we went to Santa's village. The hotel is beautiful, clean and has a vintage look. It was all covered in snow and the grounds were very peaceful. We had booked garden view rooms, but when we told them we were traveling with two little ones who were besties and wanted to be next to each other, they upgraded us to connecting Lakeview rooms, and our 4 year olds were absolutely thrilled and had an amazing time running from one room to the other! The breakfast buffet was amazing, with fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, cereal, pastries, bread, hot scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, waffle, potatoes. I was happy to see hot sauces available too. All the staff were very polite and always with a smile! The room was clean and spacious. We would definitely come back to it.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel despite the rainy weather. The hotel has a relaxing atmosphere and staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was fantastic. Food was delicious - top notch, with fun desserts. Our waitress was the best! And the breakfast buffet was so good! They had all sorts of goodies - fresh pastries, parfaits, gravlax, scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruits, etc… Will be coming back!

Our recent stay at Windermere House was nothing short of spectacular, and we owe much of that to the exceptional hotel manager, Rohit. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth and professionalism, even when a slight hiccup with a delayed check-in could have set a different tone. Rohit handled the situation with remarkable grace, turning a minor inconvenience into a showcase of outstanding hospitality with his calm demeanor! The hospitality at Windermere House truly elevated our vacation. The entire team exudes a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction, and it shows in every detail. A special shoutout goes to Jasmine, the delightful hostess at the Windermere Pub, whose warm smile and attentive service made us feel right at home. Our server, Asmita, was equally splendid, delivering impeccable service with a friendly and professional demeanor that added a special touch to our dining experience. The property itself is breathtaking, with its charming ambiance and top-notch amenities. The food at the Windermere Pub was nothing short of amazing,every dish was a delight, perfectly complementing the warm and inviting atmosphere. Thanks to Rohit, Jasmine, Asmita, and the entire team, Windermere House has earned our loyalty for many more long weekends to come. This is a place where great people, a stunning property, and phenomenal food come together to create unforgettable memories. Highly recommend!

So quaint and beautiful in the winter! Loved the hot tub outside, the saunas and the view from our room. Inside main areas are nice, full of history and apart from not enough light in the room and the bathroom being a bit small it was definitely a great place to stay. Definitely visiting again in the summer!

In July 1963 we spent a week of our honeymoon at Windemere House. It was great. Don't know of anything I would have changed. Ron and sharon sutek.
